I was in the water by 7:00... tried 2-3 different flies for
about an hour,then finally deciding that I was cold, I
decided to try one more before calling it a day.I actually
opened the box thinking of a weenie, with some weight to
get it down, but ended up tying on a beaded egg pattern.
Had a little hit on the very first cast and drift...
a couple minutes later I had a much bigger hit, but
missed the hook set. A few minutes later I caught a
nice 12" rainbow, then after about 10 more minutes,
another 12 incher,then as I was working my way back
to the shoreline to leave, I got a nice 10" brown.
I was home by 9:30 or so. What a great way to
kick off Thanksgiving! Sorry you missed it.
