Fished this morning with my old friend Ed and my new friend Chris. The morning temp was 37 degrees with water temp 49 which made for a crisp morning start. Chris and I fished the White Clay Creek Delaware FF section and he had a few early strikes but none came to hand. Later in the morning he was able to hook a trout with Palm Beach release. Ed described about a 16 incher he landed half way up PA in the same section. I was having trouble getting the fish to cooperate until ten minutes before I had to leave. I caught a smallmouth on my first cast into the O'D hole. Yep on a green weenie - a holiday tribute to the tyer Ed O'D. I also managed a stocker rainbow on the next cast, on a real fly - a bead head hares ear. Happy Thanksgiving to you all - and hope to see you on the stream tomorrrow before that turkey dinner. The shop will be open at 9:00 am on Black Friday Nov 28th.
