It was another crisp morning and yes ice was forming in the guides.  I fished the White Clay Creek, a Delaware river in the White Clay Preserve in PA today.  The water was 52 degrees and it has cleared up nicely - crystal clear and the leaf fall was confined to pockets and rock snags.  I was able to fool four trout - all rainbows today.  Productive flies with two trout each were a Golden Retriever  and a Dark Edson Tiger both size 12.  The trout were fooled with an up-and -back motion hanging the fly in the current.  I normally would swing these streamers down and across and then sweep them across the current , but by accident I got the first one while daydreaming and the streamer was just hanging downstream. Go figure!  BTW, I got caught up in that mob scene last night on Broad St. after attending a choral concert at Temple.  The kids just packed the street while walking to city hall from the campus. Nice work Phils.
