A regular fisher of the White Clay Creek stopped by the store to advise me of a revelation he had on Monday at the creek. He discovered that the fish started showing a preference for one particular fly - more than a dozen times. I decided to try it for myself this morning. So manned with a few special flies I walked to the spot and cast. Yup! He was right on it. Now what this looks like to the fish, I'm not sure but it's my guess is that the browns or suckers are spawning in the creek, or these fish think the fly looks like trout pellets. Regardsless, the fly was effective. We have a limited number of the right fly at the store so stop by and ask Ken for a couple.
