Classes at the shop kept me off the creek today.  Be aware that the forecast is for flooding conditions for the next day possibly two.  That means that stream conditions will be changing too.  If you plan to fish I'll offer a few suggestions.  Try flies that mimic insects and worms that will likely be washed into the stream from the flood.  San Juan worm, comes to mind.  Streamers fished tight to the bank are also good choices.  Eggs seem to work well during flood conditions,  Just be sure that the eggs have some flash or contrast in them.  Flooding will also move some of the leaf litter and silt around, as well as create new snags, so be aware and look for the newly created holding places that fish will take up. The storm will bring much needed water, but will also erode some locations.  Know that you will have to re-learn the stream after the flood, just part of the beauty of our sport.
