I got a wet and windy introduction to the trout this morning.  On a falling barometer and less than ideal conditions I managed just two trout today.  The fish were following the offerings but reluctant to strike with any consistancy.  Fish catching flies today were both nymphs - PT & Olive hares ear size 14. I did try out my newly re-soled shoes though. 

If you are thinking of moving to the new vibram rubber replacement soles for you old felt ones, in an effort to avert didymo or whirling disease transfer, the shop will be offering a service to you - to get them done for you with the Simms sole version ($75.00). The turn around will be about 1 week.  An example pair is on the shelf in the store so make a point to check it out.
