Deer Creek (MD) was down and the shad were getting thicker as the spawning run is starting to reach full swing.  My friend Dick P and I took a walk to get away from the crowds at the typical spots and found the fish willing to hit brightly colored and flashy shad offerings.  In one stretch Dick had six fish on six drifts.  Pretty darn fun for a first timer!
