I planned to fish with a friend this morning but had a cancellation. The fishing was a bit slow but I had a few rainbows this morning on a grey ghost streamer. This is good news as now I will start farming them up with my favorite fly - Dark Edson Tiger. Streamer fishing improves on the White Clay Creek in Delaware and PA as the fall approaches. These fish are aware that a streamer gives them the protein boost they need as other aquatic offerings are in shorter supply. There was no short supply of caddis hatching this morning - but not a single hit on an emerger or a dry offering. Water temp was 69 today in the deepest hole I past.
