It's difficult to fly fish through the hard water. So  I spend all day friday at the Fly Fishing Show in Somerset.  A very different show than in the past.  Stop by and let's discuss what you thought about the it.  A few real bargains but none that interested me.  But then again these shows have had very few real "buys" for the past few years.  I was encouraged to see that price points for the likes of hooks, fur and feathers are actually a better buy at our store - sorry for the plug, but when you travel 50 plus miles to a show and pay an entrance fee of $15 you are out $50 before you even find a good buy.  So support your local fly shop, save money and get the best possible information from people fishing your local waters.  Hope and pray for a thaw soon.  my wadering shoes are just about dry since I haven't fsihed in over 10 days on the WCC.
