Friday morning.... Fished WCC at GH stretch. Met a fellow flyfisherman, Wes, as I was walking in, we fished the first hole with pretty good success. Wes, hooked up a few times on streamers before he moved on down stream. I picked up a couple browns on a pattern that I tied with Doug's NEW yellow beads. I call this one the "Yellow pearl necklace egg pattern". Since I was having trouble
getting the beads onto the hook shank, I decided to thread 3 of the beads on a piece of 25lb mono (hence the necklace look) and then I tied the string of pearls to the hook!! I picked up the first brown on the first cast with the new pattern! That always makes a fly tier feel good! After that, I moved down and fished a few more holes with my trusty black / brown (no flash) marabou
streamer,, the brown trout still jump all over that fly!! Another very nice day on the White Clay!!
I hope you all had a great Christmas and a Happy Holiday!

Fished below the dam on the middle branch this afternoon. Not knowing Jack and Ken fished this area yesterday and Jack hit it again this morning. Im hearing tales of double digits if you were lucky enough to fish yesterday. Lucky Dogs! What a Christmas present. I did manage a nice rainbow twitching a white streamer next to the under-cut banks and trees. The water getting real clear again and the sight fishing is sure fun. Lots of hunters out today so I would reccomend wearing a bright orange hat if you have one.
